Qualifications

 I have an advanced understanding of DNS configuration and domain routing/troubleshooting.
I also have an advanced understanding of Email configuration, troubleshooting, security and setup, most notably on Exchange Driven Email. I have a vast understanding and great resources for Exchange control panel And O365-Admin i.e. Setting up Distribution lists, Shared Mailboxes, Aliases, advanced email rules and filtering, company email and device management/security. This allows me to be proficient at all levels of an organization’s  email maintenance/management; From getting email setup on local devices  and Outlook for individual employees, to setting up company-wide rules,  mail flow and security measures. In conjunction with email, I  understand the impact that an Encryption service/Firewall has on an  email system, and how to keep it properly maintained (the system I am most familiar with is ProofPoint). 

 I am extremely well versed in Linux operating systems for web hosting, notably cPanel. I can manage a server with 1 site or 500, and I understand what hardware is required to operate specific software. I  can manually patch servers scripting language versions, install any CMS,  understand intimately how content speaks to databases, can manually  install SSLs, setup automated points of redundancy/backup and so on. I am most efficient with Wordpress troubleshooting, but can reasonably troubleshoot any php driven CMS. 

 This isn’t an area I’ve been able to work in directly for a few years, but can speak to it better than most. I understand the impact of email marketing, local area and service-based business listings. I can also speak to organic and paid SEO, as well as put systems in place to  appropriately track traffic and bounce rate statistics. This is an area in which I plan to grow with my own services.
